On April 19, 2024, the U.S. Department of Education issued its long-awaited updates to the regulations implementing Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 in K-12 schools. The 2024 Rule and related preamble are nearly 1600 pages long and are packed with information necessary to fully implement the rule by its effective date, August 1, 2024. The Rule raises many questions for school personnel administrators. Does it apply to employee-on-employee discrimination or harassment? What rights do employees have under the process? What about new requirements related to gender identity? This webinar will address those questions and more. Whether you are your District’s Title IX Coordinator or try your best to avoid Title IX matters as all costs, this webinar is essential for you as a school personnel administrator. Participants will leave armed with the information they need to confidently implement the new rule in their districts.
