On January 9, 2025, a federal judge in Kentucky vacated the 2024 Title IX rule. Shortly after, the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights acknowledged that the 2020 Rule is now the law of the land in all states. With President Elect Donald Trump’s inauguration at the end of January and new leadership at the helm at the U.S Department of Education, there are certainly more changes to come.
