Title: Athletics and Activities Director

Status: Administrator, Tier I, 260 Days

Qualifications:

Required

• Master’s degree in Education or Administration
• Minimum of five (5) years coaching experience in a K-12 educational setting
• Vision for the athletics and activities program
• Successful history of leading people, managing budgets, and growing a team and/or department
• Ability to successfully work with diverse internal and external groups
• This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and as such, performance of duties beyond the normal workday are included in the compensation package. Requires work as necessary to perform the duties of the position.

Preferred

• Secondary Principal’s license from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW)
• Five years teaching experience
• Evidence of successful completion of courses, or work experience, in the organization and administration of student athletics and activities program.

Reports to: Sandusky High School Principal

Job Goal: To support the District’s goal and assume supervisory responsibilities over all organizational, management and daily implementation of athletics and activities. To allow for greater alignment of athletic priorities within the district and expand the number of activities for students to encourage student growth and success.
